As the school year begins (sort of, eventually), we are kickstarting our Pack 14 scout year, too. This year will obviously look quite different than last. To keep our families safe, we will not have any in-person pack gatherings this fall. But we do plan to continue offering fun, meaningful, safe experiences for your families. As a pack, those include:
- A virtual pack-wide scavenger hunt with great rewards for each rank winner announced through a pack-wide Zoom in September
- Regular service opportunities, including a food and mask drive to help our charter organization support the homeless community, greenbelt clean-ups that can be done as a family, a Veteran’s Day tribute to our neighborhood vets, and a Scouting for Food event to support the Food Bank around the holidays
- Continuation of our hiking club with the opportunity to log miles on family hikes and hiking suggestions each month
More details to come on each of these, and if you have other ideas please share. We do plan to host Pinewood Derby in some form, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed a pack campout in the spring.
Your den leaders will be reaching out to you soon with what your den events will look like this fall. For those of you wanting to do scouts entirely remote, our Council has made that easy with adventure boxes that include all the materials you need to complete the adventures at home.

Pack dues for the year will remain $100, with $66 of that going to the National BSA organization. You can pay dues through GooglePay using the link on our website: https://pack14atx.com/payments/ Please make sure you enter your scout’s name in the memo.
